The next Flying is to Orange, NSW
20-21-22 April 2018
Flyin Director Andrew Mladen, has once again planned a Long Way
Around Flying Trip with our first stopover in the South West Queensland
town of Charleville on the 17th April. Because of its remote location, Charleville is famous for its open air observatory known as the Cosmos Centre. Powerful
telescopes and knowledgable guides introduce people to the night sky.
Charleville is also home to a busy RFDS base, and is the location of the
historic Coroneo"s Hotel plus many other interesting sights.
The next day, after a morning flight the plan is to visit the town of
Narrabri where we can tour the AusCotton cotton gin, the Australian
Radio Telescope site and the Mt Kaputar National Park.
Thursday morning we make a short flight to Tamworth, the Music Capital
of Australia.
Friday will see us fly to Spring Creek airport, Orange, with a stopover on the way at Bathurst, famous for the Mount Panorama motor racing circuit.
